First Time Developing A Resort

Mesa profile photo

We are in the beginning stages of developing a resort property. This week we will be interviewing the feasibility study companies. Any suggestions on what to look for in a company or the right questions to ask? Also, any advice on putting together the presentation for investors/banks? Again, what they are going to find most interesting and viable.

Thanks. You are correct that their are a lot of complexities involved not to mention the potential of tribal burial mounds!

If there are burial grounds I recommend you contact the appropriate tribal officials and get them involved early on. You want them on your side, and should work with them to assure this. Perhaps some kind of park/sacred site designation would be in order. Check out NAGPRA, the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act of 1990 for more info.

    Emperor,

How is your caribbean development project coming? Where is it located? I live in the Dominican Republic, and if you are looking for anything here, perhaps I can help. Let me know how things are going.
