During inclement weather, we are fortunate enough to have an inside hookup by the electrical panel box to easily connect a generator. Perhaps, one of my favorite things about the house is cooking with gas. In the winter, our heating costs are low. In the summer, our power bill is usually around $250. I think the home is extremely energy efficient considering we had a family of six at one time taking hot showers, washing massive amounts of laundry, and running a dishwasher everyday.
