Thanks to Brookline\'s generous Residential Exemption, our 2019-20 property taxes are only $906 -- just 25% of what they would be without an exemption. The new owner would have to apply to Brookline for an exemption. We\'ll miss our cozy home convenient to all that Brookline and Boston offer -- especially our neighborhood and the building\'s amenities. When we bought it two-and-a-half years ago, we couldn\'t find anything as nice in this price range. We were lucky to win a bidding contest -- no regrets! The space is flexible -- last year we entertained 12 guests for a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner.
