Does Anyone Lease Option Multifamily Homes??

Daedal profile photo

L/O of a 2 or 3 units house can get confusing if your tenant-buyer wants a tenant in the second unit, to pay rent. Who would handle the tenant? The tenant-buyer or Investor? If the investor or even the tenant-buyer handles the tenant and the tenant-buyer bails on the deal your stuck with a tenant. Which may be good or not.

Any thoughts on this??

If you are lease optioning then the investors role would be a note holder not a landlord. The buyer would bear sole responsibility for his tenants. Make sure he/she is very aware of there legal and financial obligations. The only person the investor needs to worry about is the leasee that pays there monthly payment.

    Good Luck,

not true from what rookie says. I am doing a lease with option to buy on my duplex. 1 side (rent to own tenant) pays 900 and the other side pays 800.. I credit 100 bucks rent to own tenant makes rent on time. She also put down 3k non-refundable deposit. I am collecting both sides until the rent to won tenant buys the house and I am the landlord.
