Sheriff Sale For House But Not Land Locked Land

Need opinions!



Sheriff Sale for House only, with 1 acre.(Already happened)

There are 7 acres behind house. ( Not included in sheriff sale) (Land Locked)

There are 2 Parcels numbers. One for house and one for the 7 acres.

The 7 acres are land locked behind the house.

I went to the Map office and Plat office and gave them the address of the house. They give me both parcels under this address.



The Sheriff Sale was in November, 2005 for the House only , by a husband and wife.

The Parents/Owners of the house,( before the sheriff sale,) deeded the 7 acres ( the land locked Parcel) to their son.



There is a Mortgage Lien showing up on the 7 acres from 1990, if this is possible. ( Due to a title search) WeI asked the Parents about the Lien and they said they are not aware of any liens on the 7 acres. (of course.)

They also went through a bankruptcy in 2003, but got to keep the house (Chapter 7) But the 7 acres never shows up in the bankruptcy either. We were suprised you could keep your house in a Chapter 7 also.



This is a can of worms. Can anyone break this apart, and give me some though on it.
