Has Anyone Here Ever Thought Of Doing This?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone here ever thought of (or is doing successfully) seminars to disseminate information to the coummunity about foreclosure procedures, home buying process, investor strategies, etc.?

If so, what would you charge the general public for your information and what kind of information would you give?

Be interested in your feedback on this one! Thanks! wink

    Hello,

There is always room for someone who wants to help others succeed. Do your research and find out what is already available, then create something where you see a hole in the market. Practice, practice, practice and find a mentor who is already successful, who would be willing to guide you. Go for it!

Have seen realtors and others do this, offer it free or through community in the form of night classes for $10.

Sorry, not being ignorant. Its just that is about one of the oldest tricks in the books. Consumers are much more savvy now. That ploy is right up there with Real Estate Agents that give seminars on "How to sell your Home Yourself" or "In 5 days".

People in Foreclosure get bombarded with "Foreclosure Counselors" and Non-Profit Organizations that are fronts for Hard Money Lenders & Equity Holding Trusts.

Not to get too far off topic but you would be basically training your competition. I think there is a thread on this board about how many investors have tried that approach and found themselves flooding the market with competition.

Maybe it would work in a rural market.
But your in a different place and time so maybe it would work. Got to try though.

I would recomend your write a book on those subjects and try selling it. Then you only have to tell your story one time and you get paid over and over and over.

Thank you all for your responses. They were all to good points, and extremely helpful to me in making my decision. I am looking in to many areas of real estate investing, learning, and trying to find a system that is feasible for me to do.

Thanks again! You all are great! grin

educating people has worked extremely well in securing private investors in our projects. We will do seminars on how to turn 401K money into self directed trusts etc.
