Economical Post Cards

Just a thought for those of you just starting out in the biz...

You can print your own post post cards right from your computer...

Use blank index cards....colored or white.... 4x6 you can mail for .23 cents and 5x8 for .37 cents...

You can print as few or as many as you like... personally address, your own design and colors....

Helpful Hint!

    Hi Dave,

Post Card enthusiasts might also like to check out the extremely affordable NETPOST service from the post office. I recently used this service to mail out reminder cards for a large event and only spent $.25 per card, postage included for 4x6 black and white cards. The cards therefore only cost me 2 cents each. Large cards and flyers can also be sent. The services is available through the web site http://www.usps.com.

Done it many times myself, easy to do and if you are on a budget starting out, you can make whatever you want to say, etc.

Remember, it's not the flashy graphics that you put on the card it's the message. You can have the best advertising in the world, but if your message isn't correct, then there is no point.

Just remember to check with your local post office to see which areas on the post card you can't fill up so they can put stamps, barcodes, etc.

This works fine for small quantities.

Just be aware of the cost of ink cartridges vs the cost of professional printing.

Why print them yourself when for about 32 cents a piece you can have them printed, and mailed for you? At work, so I don't have my links, but I'll try and post the website later from home.

NETPOST is probably cheapest. Remember, when sending mailers - the first time a recipient gets your post card, it goes straight to the waste basket. Second one, probably the recipient vaguely remembers your name or logo, third one triggers a memory of you. Fourth post card there's actually.... ta da !!...recognition. Fifth post card, the recipient knows you, and by the sixth card, you're actually someone that might get called - you've got staying power by then. Sales & Marketing 101.

6 hits on direct mail post cards makes staying power... I don't agree... In this market of real estate investing... they either want to or not... First impressions are everything... You are curring a "now" need (sale)... I had a 12% response last month and have not mailed this month as of yet and received another 2 calls this morning... home sellers are holding on to them ... not trashing them... its content and design....

        Hi Dave,

Your experience differs from traditional knowledge, ... for business in general and for sellers with large real estate inventory. Yes, design is very important, and content too.... and ?? maybe we're in a "different" market right now. 12% response is really great - congratulations. You must have sold to most of that 12% because you sound happy! By the way, what in the world does "curring" mean?
